Diigo

  • What's another way you can organize and store information on your computers?
    • You can use bookmarks to organize information on your computer.
  • What have you learned from researching the above topics? What do you know now about those current events that you didn’t know before?
    • I have learned a lot of stuff that I did not know before. For instance i knew nothing about the bridge gate. I live very near to where this is all happening, but I had no idea what was going on. But after I started researching topics for my project i finally understood what was happening. The bridge gate scandal had to do with Governor Christie closing down the lanes connecting Fort Lee, NJ to the George Washington Bridge. Apparently the excuse was for a "traffic study", but in reality Governor Christie was trying to get revenge on the mayor of Fort Lee, NJ, Mark Sokolich.

Web 2.0 Tool

I would use the web 2.0 tool for chemistry. I would use it for the next years chemistry class ans the chemistry test I need to take to get into chemistry honors. I would use it for an overview of the chapter and to study for when I need to take the test. I would also use it to prepare me for honors testing. It would help refresh my memory of when I learned chemistry last year and also help to find out things that weren't taught in class or that weren't gone over thoroughly.

The Innovation Educator

The article I read was about social media advice. It had ten great tips to keep in mind while on your social media websites. It makes you think about what to post on your social media websites. The tips are really helpful especially for people who are in my age range and a little older. Right now is the time where you are thinking about jobs and colleges and having social media can easily make or break your career. The tips that were given were really great to keep in mind and keeping you from making stupid, regretful decisions.

    • I selected those websites because those are the websites that I would be most likely to read and be interested in.

  • Which sites were your favorites?
    • My favorite sites had to do with my hobbies, such as makeup and reading. Also I was very interested in the  websites that had to deal with the government, like the FBI.
  • What else can you use RSS feeds for?
    • You can use RSS feeds to stay updated and keep up with your favorite sites without actually having to go there.

My Favorite Restaurant

My favorite restaurant is Kabul Kabab. Its located in Flushing, NY. They serve Middle Eastern food. The food is mostly focused around Afghanistan and the food that comes from there. my absolute dish from their amazing selection of food is the Chicken Breast Kabab. The Chicken Breast Kabab is boneless chicken breast , marinated in seasonings and saffron, broiled over charcoal, and served with basmati rice and salad. Every time I go there I order this entree and I am never disappointed with the results.
Kabul Kabab is sadly not a chain restaurant. At the same time it'sboth a good and bad thing. It's bad because every time I am craving quality Middle Eastern food I would have to go out and travel far.But the good thing is that makes the taste of the food even more authentic. It's makes the food taste better knowing that you can't find the same taste of food anywhere else.
Kabul Kabab is my favorite restaurant because they serve my favorite food and they make it better than anyone else. I've been to many Middle Eastern restaurants and I have never been fully satisfies with the food I've been served. Also the feel of the restaurant is like no other. It has a Mediterranean, cozy, and elegant feeling all in one.
Seating
If Kabul Kabab was to ever shut down, I would be devastated. The food is so amazing it would take forever to mourn my loss. But if I were to choose an alternative restaurant it would be La'Ziza or Al-Basha which are both located in Paterson,NJ.Just like Kabul Kabab, both the restaurants serve Middle Eastern food. The food they serve is good, but absolutely nothing compared to Kabul Kabab.

If I was invisible...

If I was invisible for one day I would try to make everything in the world right. I would first stop all the pollution. Then I would try help feed the less fortunate. I would help the elderly with their errands. I would go around and collect clothes for those who don't have. And if I had to, I would take from the rich and give to the needy. What would you do if you were invisible for one day?

Spreadsheets are very helpful in many ways. They help to organize and keep track of data. They can also be very helpful in the classroom.  A way they can help in the classroom is averaging out grades of the students they get on tests , quizzes, and projects. They also help keep track of which students have been doing their homework. Spreadsheets can help out many people in many ways.

Class Assignment

I am in Mr. Porfido's seventh period Web 2.0 class. This year in Web 2.0 I expected to learn more about to technology and how to use computers properly. This year so far I have learned how to make posts to my blog, and that the ctrl button actually means control, not central. I also learned may things I didn't know about the internet before.
Web 2.0

Mr. Porfido has a very simple grading policy. It's 40% for formal assessments, 40% for weekly projects, 10% for homework, and 10% for informal/class participation/observations(To find out more click here ). In the class we use technology to do some research and to work on articles. Every week on Friday a new tech article is due.( We have to do research on some of the latest technology and do a summary on it. The Tech articles are easy to do and it also teaches you new things you never knew before.

Since we have recently started the class, there isn't much we know about field trips and any special projects. If there are any to come up in the future, I really hope we get to work in groups. Working in groups would be really fun and it would be easier and faster to get things done.
